Responsibilities You will perform or advise on phases of budget administrations: formulation of budget and estimates, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities; review and evaluate budget requests. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds. You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities may also be performed depending on the needs of the organization. You will plan work, sets priorities and schedules work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse impact on the command or mission. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in financial budget, programming support, evaluate budget performance, examination of obligations and expenditures, interpretation of budgetary and financial policies, providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition of funds to support an organization's programs and activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
