Summary You will serve as a GG-12 Financial Management Analyst performing or advising on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. Your work may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices. This position is located within the N8 Department of NIOC/CNO ACTIVITY in Pensacola, Florida. Responsibilities You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will formulate budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests and control/report obligations and expenditures. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Review financial reports to identify areas of concern affecting accounting and financial execution programs and initiate required corrections and adjustments; Implement legal and regulatory control over approved budgets for an organization's programs and activities; Perform administrative functions (e.g., government purchase card program, timekeeping) and resolve any financial gaps or discrepancies to maintain department operations; Analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management to meet audit readiness goals.
