The Financial Management Supervisor II, under direction, supervises financial management operations and staff.

Position Details: This position is security sensitive and requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures. All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Four years of accounting experience in a business office.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
+ Excellent oral and written communication.
+ Customer service and problem-solving skills in an increasingly complex environment.
+ Familiarity with internal controls. Wide range of knowledge of governmental and higher education operations.
+ Ability to make decisions. Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in higher education.
+ Previous supervisory experience.
Essential Duties/Tasks
-Manage Financial Management Services
+ Manages FMS/FMO operations for TAMUG, including all accounts payable functions including invoice creation using AppZen, oversight audit and review, collections on past due receivables, property management, payment, travel and fuel card administration.
-Supervise
+ Supervises assigned staff and student employees, including training new staff or training staff on new processes.
-Training
+ Manages and delivers fiscal related training to TAMUG staff, providing additional assistance as needed. Leads on introduction and implementation of new processes at TAMUG.
-Customer Service
+ Assists external and internal customers
