Financial Manager (78183-4)
The Finance Manager is responsible for preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, supervising staff and executing financial tasks within the finance department.

Typical Functions:

· Monitors the day-today financial operations (Invoice payment, Cash collections and other transactions)

· Reviews inventory reports by item category

· Prepares monthly and quarterly management reporting

· Maintains cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports

· Coordinates and works with other departments, outsourced accounting firm and CPA auditor for data / documents required to complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing.

· Prepares documents for CPA audit, J-SOX and tax returns.

· Communicates financial institutes to maintain banking procedures and lease contracts

· Ensures compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements

· Promotes continual process improvements in specified procedures

· Reviews and processes payments of the company

· Maintains an accurate filing and records keeping system for all financial statements and company documents

· Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business

· Maintains ERP system

· Supervises finance clerks

· Supports Financial Director and CFO for annual budgeting

Education and/or Experience

Mandatory: 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the retail or hospitality industries, College degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field, Tax returns (Federal and/or State), Supervisory or managerial roles

Optional; CPA, Reporting package to Japan

Language Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese

Practical Skills

Working knowledge of GAAP principles

Ability to manage multiple projects

Impeccable attention to detail

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Reasoning Ability

Results-oriented and process-driven
