ISS STOXX is Hiring! We are seeking an Index Analyst to join the Corporate Actions team within Index Operations Department.

The Index Operations Department is currently organized in 3 units defined as Index Surveillance and Monitoring, Index Review, and Corporate Actions across 4 locations (Frankfurt, Zug, Prague and Hong-Kong) and is responsible for any day-to-day activities related to the maintenance of indices under STOXX mandates. Index Operations activities covers indices such as EURO STOXX 50, STOXX Europe 50, STOXX Europe 600, as well as DAX indices, the Bulgarian Exchange Indices, and Customized Indices. The Index Operations units are also involved in multiple Strategic Projects where expertise on Index implementation maintenance, regulations and customer interfaces are required.

Responsibilities

For our office in Prague, Czechia we are currently looking for an Index Analyst in the Index Corporate Actions unit. The overall successful candidate will be part of high-performing team and support this team by applying knowledge and skills to a large number of routine and non-routine activities.

As Index Corporate Actions Analyst, you will handle the research and implementation of corporate actions for equities (e.g. M&A activities, dividend payments, stock splits, spin-offs, etc.) and manage all the data associated to it, including sourcing, cleansing and organizing of corporate events, reference and ownership data.

You will have direct communication with customers and third-party providers regarding corporate actions, in various formats and via different distribution channels.

You will have the opportunity to get involved and take responsibility in the development of new tools, specify requirements for technical development and test new applications/tools from end to end, and have a key role in the documentation of processes and workflows within the Index Operation team.

You will represent a key growth area for the company and are expected to be a significant contributor and team player.

What you bring to ISS STOXX

Hold a University degree (Master’s degree preferred) in finance, economics, mathematics or IT.

Have strong analytical and conceptual skills and know-how in financial information.

Strong interest in the capital markets, especially in the equities market and portfolio/index management.

Possess enthusiasm about the research and application of corporate actions.

Be able to handle multiple tasks time-efficiently and autonomously in parallel and work on tight deadlines.

Have a solid command of written and verbal English

Competency across Microsoft Office suite

Nice to have:

First experience and track record in Index or portfolio maintenance, data analysis or corporate actions maintenance is a plus.

Fluency in European languages

Knowledge of Access, Python and VBA skills, SQL

Good knowledge of reference and market data applications such as Refinitiv Workspace or Bloomberg.

Finally, you need to be a team player with good communication skills, highly motivated, flexible and solution-oriented
