Financial Operational Data Analyst

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business activities. This individual utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner, maintains current systems and developments of new systems. This individual provides support and development to Microsoft Power Platform initiatives.

Essential duties include the following:

Prioritizes business and project requirements and makes appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.Build, deploy, and maintain inbound and outbound integrations with Workday Financials and with third party applications.Provide support and develop for the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).Defines project purposes and outcomes, performs project planning to allocate and balance project resources, timelines, and scope, develops project maps and milestones, and leads project team in adhering to timelines.Assists in the design, review, testing, and implementation of Workday system updates and enhancements as they relate to integrations and assesses the impact of new enhancements on integrations.Performs regression testing on integrations during Workday enhancements.Tracks and performs business operations reporting and analytics needs. Ensures the accounting team and external team members are kept informed of business process changes, business issues, technical systems information, and the like by communicating and collaborating with team members on a regular basis.Defines and documents processes and future state process maps.Develops business cases for new tools and resources.Facilitates testing and quality assurance and facilitates end user training.Participates in ad-hoc projects and due diligence efforts.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study from an accredited four-year college or university required.Minimum of zero to three (0-3) years in accounting/financial reporting and analysis, or related experience, which includes at least three (3) years in planning and executing accounting business processes, financial, operational or business analysis, or related experience required.Strong understanding of accounting-related processes and procedures relating to software development and implementation.Strong understanding of accounting systems and ancillary/support systems such as commissions tracking/reporting, expenses, and premium accounting.Working knowledge of gathering and analyzing business intelligence in order to make recommendations to improve company results.Able to build complex systems using web services standards (WSDL, SOAP and REST).Demonstrated ability to work closely with non-technical business owners on a technical solution.Strong Web Services development experience (SOAP and REST) with a deep understanding of XSLT, XPath and XML.General understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems software such Workday.Working knowledge of SQL to query relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server.Advanced knowledge of Workday report writing, including vast understanding of all data sources and primary business objects required to support integrations. This includes expert knowledge and creation of advanced calculated fields.Excellent customer service skills to interact with various personnel in a positive, cooperative, and courteous manner.Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with a wide range of personnel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and communication (both written and oral) skills.Proficient computer and keyboard skills which include MS Word and Excel and common accounting software application systems.Able to work independently, cross-functional, and in team environments.Able to work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.Able to lift 10-20 lbs. of accounting reports, files, and other documents.Able to sit for long periods of time gathering, updating, and validating accounting and records transactions.Able to stoop, kneel, and/or stand to retrieve files or other documents.
