SUMMARY 

The Financial Operations Analyst primarily monitors cash disbursements to retailers and rFinance, period accounting close process including journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly service fee billing, and reporting. Data analytics responsibilities as assigned. To complete these tasks, the analyst will be responsible for validating data, maintaining complex spreadsheets, and working independently to complete tasks. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Performs the daily reconciliation of cash disbursement to retailers and rFinance by lenders. This includes following up with stakeholders such as the tech team, lenders, retailers and accounting, investigating differences to ensure disbursements are accurate. To do this accurately and efficiently, data validation needs to be performed and the reconciliation spreadsheet needs to be maintained as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Performs the period-end accounting close process including journal entries account reconciliations and periodic accruals. To do so, the analyst will analyze revenue, operating expenses, and selling, general and administrative expenses (SGA) to ensure accurate and complete accounting of the financial performance of rFinance.  This also includes working with business partners on financial analysis and departmental budgets/forecasts. Performs the monthly service fee billing process in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure retailer and corporate accounting's expectations are met.  To do this accurately and efficiently, data validation needs to be performed and the billing spreadsheet needs to be maintained as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Performs reporting and data analytics as assigned by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA preferred or four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (especially complex functions and formulas) Integrate and work with large data sets using Power Query and Power Pivot Familiarity with Power BI other BI tools to create and share visualizations Experience with reconciliations and data validation Detail orientated Solid verbal and written communication skills Self-starter, disciplined High level of integrity Aptitude to quickly learn and apply technical aspects of consumer finance

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
