Financial / Ops Optimization Manager – IC Job ID #: 29862 Location: TX-HOUSTON Functional Area: Engineering Position Type: Full Time Experience Required: 5 - 7 Years Relocation Provided: No Education Required: Bachelors Degree RC/Department: 0380 -PIPELINE INTEGRITY RISK :KMGP Position Description Job Responsibilities + Manage financial aspects of the pipeline integrity program including: + Support all Integrity Management Program financial processes with a focus on analysis and management of forecasting and variance reporting processes. + Provide accurate and timely deliverables based on the needs of the company or management. + Engage regularly with projects managers by participating in regular meetings / discussions to track pipeline integrity project status and develop financial updates including researching and understanding variances between budget, forecasts and actual pipeline integrity project expenditures. + Provide ongoing reconciliations to budget and prior forecasts periods. + Develop and track performance metrics on pipeline integrity related expenditures. + Assist in and support the development of the pipeline integrity annual budget. + Review and approve pipeline integrity project funding requests for compliance with company financial guidelines and provide associated support as needed. + Develop and continuously improve associated financial processes. + Review and audit deliverables for quality as needed. + Provide support to Pipeline Integrity or other groups as needed. + Perform tasks associated with core responsibilities or other tasks as needed. + Note that position level is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Position Requirements Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting or business related field. Applicable industry experience and education may be considered as an equivalent. Job Requirements + Minimum 5-10 years of experience and understanding in accounting or financial analysis. + Strong analytical and problem solving skills with logical thought processes. + Strong, effective, clear and concise verbal and written communications skills with timely and professional exchanges. + Demonstrated relationship management and collaboration skills. + Ability and willingness to perform all essential functions of the position including those listed above. + Ability and willingness to understand and implement all regulatory and company policies, processes, procedures, guidelines and best practices. + Must be accountable and manage activities to meet deadlines with attention to detail. + Strong focus on safe work practices and active participation in the safety program. + Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work independently. + Demonstrated initiative and adaptability to manage multiple work tasks and changing priorities. + Demonstrated flexibility and openness to new ideas. + Demonstrated ability to develop and refine processes related to assignments. + Dependable including being on-time and prepared as needed with appropriate and timely responses to management and customer requests. + Strong computer skills including but not limited to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. + Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance. + Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. + The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed. Work Conditions + Must be willing and able to work in a corporate environment. + Extended periods of sitting may be required. + Must be willing to travel to multiple sites within the United States generally up to 5-10%. Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge + Experience in operations analysis and management reporting. + Experience in performing detailed financial variance analysis. + Fundamental understanding of pipeline integrity and project management processes. + Knowledge of gas pipeline integrity assessment methods including in-line inspection, pressure tests and direct assessment. + Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices. + Knowledge of PHMSA Part 192 regulations and Part 195 Regulations associated with Integrity Management.. + Knowledge of general pipeline field operations, standards, practices and procedures. + Advanced computer skills. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill sets. Position may be filled at various levels depending on experience and job skills of the successful candidate.
