Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Role is in San Juan, PR **What's the role?** Lead the delivery of comprehensive financial analysis, performance management and forecasting for Capital expenditure (Capex) across Liberty Puerto Rico in support of the Senior Manager of FP&A. Facilitate the delivery and examination of accurate Roll forecasts, annual budgets and financial analysis for Capex investments. **How can you add value?** + Responsible for loading the monthly reforecast of Capex Roll (forecast), working with Central & Local Budget Owners to update the Roll + Prepare monthly financial analysis and explanations of Capex Actuals and forecast changes, comparing vs prior Roll forecast, budget and Long Range Plan (when needed) + Prepare quarter-end and year-end analysis and explanations for Capex performance as needed + Assist in the accurate reporting, tracking and benchmarking of key Capex investments including Cap labor tracking, New Build Programs and CPE forecasts to facilitate meeting our annual Capex budget + Support stakeholders (including LLA’s financial and operational leadership teams) and Capex budget owners across the business in understanding their Year-to-date and Month-to-date actuals and adjustments to their Year-to-go forecasts in the Roll + Support Budget owners in managing corrections to our financial records (actuals) where needed, assess accrual requirements for month-end close and work with Accounting and Budget owner teams to improve the accuracy of our Capex tracking and System records + Support the broader FP&A team with Ad-hoc financial analysis (including Business cases / investment cases) as required to meet the demands of LLA’s Finance leadership + Support local market (country) finance organizations with benchmarking, analysis and alignment with the centralized Capex budget owner teams as needed + Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures. + Other functions may be assigned. **What do you need?** **Knowledge & Experience:** **Preferred education / qualifications:** + Bachelors degree required + Masters degree a plus + Chartered Public Accountant or other equivalent Accountancy qualifications are a plus + Fluency in English is required. + Experience working within a large business Finance function, ideally an FP&A function, with a focus on financial analysis + Demonstrated team leadership and ability to drive improvements to operational performance and financial deliverables + Understanding of Accruals Accounting (including its impact on spend forecasting and booking actuals), Profit & Loss statements, Balance sheet statements, and Opex vs Capex accounting + Telecommunications experience is desirable + Experience working with Anaplan and/or Oracle HFM/Essbase is desirable **Skills & Abilities:** + Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Confident presenting financial information to a senior leadership audience (in English) + Able to work in a matrix organization to influence change without direct-line management control and engage with multiple organizational departments to achieve goals + Able to create and analyze complex financial models, assessing both the cost and benefit of Capital investments + Able to produce and analyze spend forecasts for a variety of different investments/business operations Liberty Puerto Rico provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, social status, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran, military service obligation, disability status, genetic information, political affiliation, and being or being perceived as a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking.
