Financial Planning and Analysis Professional

 The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Professional 2 in IT Finance is responsible for analyzing financial data, forecasting, and providing timely, accurate insights that support strategic and operational decision-making for IT projects. This role involves working with various stakeholders across the organization, providing analytics that inform business strategies, and identifying opportunities for financial improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze financial, economic, and operational data to evaluate and forecast the organization’s performance and provide insights on business decisions, such as investments, acquisitions, and capital expenditures.Close & Forecasting Support: Participate in month-end close processes, including account analysis, reconciliations, capitalization, and variance reporting.Reporting & Process Improvement: Create and enhance financial reports and analysis that help drive efficiencies and improvements. Develop and maintain key metrics and cost information that support business decisions.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnerships: Work closely with business partners, including other finance teams, IT, and operations, to measure and summarize financial data, develop actionable insights, and support cross-functional initiatives.Financial Modeling & Decision Support: Support senior management by evaluating financial implications of potential transactions, investments, and other strategic decisions.·System Reconciliation & Reporting: Ensure accurate reconciliation between financial systems and operational reports, maintaining the integrity of financial data across platforms.Special Projects: Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives, establishing effective relationships with peers and management within Finance to ensure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a solid understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation, etc.).Experience working with financial and operational data for analysis and reporting.Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work with minimal direction.A passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuous improvement and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in the IT or healthcare insurance industry within a Finance/Accounting department.Experience in procurement, contract review, or IT Finance-specific processes.Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, and/or VBACPA or MBA

Additional Information

This is Hybrid position which will require the candidate to work onsite, 2-3 days per week, at a Humana facility in Arlington, VA.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$71,500 - $97,500 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
