Financial Planning & Coaching Internal Specialist

Vanguard has an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Planning & Coaching Internal Specialist. This role will sit in Vanguard's Financial Planning & Coaching (FP&C) Team in the Financial Advisor Solutions department. The team’s mission is to educate and resource advisors across four financial planning domains (Retirement Planning, Tax Planning, Legacy & Estate Planning, and Behavioral Coaching).
In this role, candidates will have the opportunity to present on financial planning topics via webinars to group of advisors and in 1:1 advisor consultations. Additional responsibilities include serving as the go-to expert for FAS Sales on the Financial Planning & Coaching Offer, responding to sales and client inquiries, offering expert consultation in solution development, and contributing to the development of new advisor and end-client content. The role requires a deep understanding of financial planning and a passion for educating advisors, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve their clients effectively.
Key responsibilities:
+ Ambassadorship: Present on select planning topics via 1:many virtual events and 1:1 advisor consultations.
+ Sales Enablement: Serve as a “go to” expert for FAS Sales on the Financial Planning & Coaching Offer. Train FAS Sales on these topics and provide resources to aid Sales in distribution efforts. Respond to sales and client inquiries.
+ Offer Evolution: Provide expert consultation in solution development and enhancement discussions.
+ Content origination: Contribute to authoring new advisor and end-client content and presentations to support offer distribution via both Sales and Marketing.
+ Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder relationships in FAS Sales and advice partners throughout the enterprise.
Key attributes for success:
+ Deep expertise in financial planning topics and a passion for educating advisors on these topics.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to make complex topics understandable for audiences with varying degrees of acumen.
+ Client-centric mindset to provide unique solutions to Sales and advisor inquiries.
+ Relationship management skills to build effective partnerships across FAS and the enterprise to drive business results.
+ Comfort in operating independently and managing ambiguity, to problem-solve and present recommendations.
+ Strong business and organizational acumen to optimize how we serve our clients and contribute to FAS’s divisional goals.
Qualifications
+ Five years experience in the Financial Services industry or client services preferred. Experience as an advisor/practitioner preferred.
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
+ CFP preferred.
+ This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
