Financial Promotions Compliance Specialist - Senior Associate

As a Financial Promotions Compliance Specialist - Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be a part of a flat-structure organization. You’ll be embedded full-time within the Marketing and Content teams, reviewing and providing guidance on financial promotions, marketing materials, wider customer communications, and in-app content for products that could include current accounts, savings, credit, investments, and more. You will help prevent, detect, and mitigate compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk and help to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

Review, challenge, and provide guidance on financial promotions, marketing materials, and wider customer communications/content. Provide first-line compliance advisory services directly within the Marketing and Content functions in a rapidly developing business unit of the firm. Share a detailed understanding of regulations and how they relate to the promotions created and wider customer communications. Work closely with product delivery squads to ensure that we are providing great customer outcomes and meeting regulatory requirements. Challenge, justify, negotiate, and propose solutions. Take a proactive, hands-on approach, making recommendations regarding necessary edits for all financial promotions, communications, and content. Develop comprehensive procedures, checklists, and training materials. Have awareness of forthcoming regulatory changes and how these can be implemented. Liaise with internal stakeholders across other functions such as Legal, Compliance, Global Financial Crime Compliance, Operational Risk, and Technology Operational Risk.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Good knowledge of relevant UK laws/regulation (Financial Conduct Authority and Advertising Standards Authority) regarding marketing, distribution, and customer communications. Hands-on regulatory experience of reviewing financial promotions for retail consumers. Good generic financial services product knowledge, for example, in banking, consumer credit, or investments. Strong team player with good interpersonal and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. High degree of attention to detail. Able to prioritize and be driven and effective in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable taking initiative and working across multiple business lines/jurisdictions. Ability to make complex matters easy to understand, whether presenting or giving written feedback. Able to engage with and challenge the business in a credible and collaborative fashion and also face challenge from senior business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of wider European laws/regulation relating to marketing and financial promotions would be an advantage. Secondary European language would be desirable. Experience working in a digital agile environment, and familiarity with modern tooling such as Jira/Confluence.
