Financial Reporting Assistant Manager

Obtain knowledge and understanding of client's business;
Draft financial statements proforma for new clients;
Prepare financial statements, including supporting workpapers, of alternative investment companies (e.g., hedge funds, private equity funds) with simple to complex structure;
Conduct research and read pronouncements and illustrative financial statements provided by external auditors that are relevant to the fund;
Communicate with manager in-charge for client-related matters;
Communicate/liase directly with external stakeholders such as investment managers, fund administrators and external auditors from the preparation to issuance of financial statements;
Attend internal client meetings, meetings with the auditors and other meetings relevant to the financial statements preparation;
Discuss/present the issues noted and corresponding resolution(s) with the client and/or auditors during calls/meetings;
Perform general accounting, bookkeeping and reporting for selected clients;
Provide assistance to the junior members of the team;
Provide assistance to the manager in-charge in monitoring the status of the engagement.
