The PGIM Controllership team currently has an opening for a Financial Reporting Specialist supporting PGIM Real Estate. Your role in this team will support senior management and other business partners in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the business by providing timely, accurate financial reports and insightful analysis of business drivers behind the results, while maintaining appropriate internal controls.
What you can expect
Support the financial close process and reporting deliverables across the global businesses.
Ensure the accuracy, reasonability, and completeness of GAAP financial results, including the balance sheet and income statement.
Provide insightful and impactful analytics of the financial results to various audiences, including senior management.
Develop and support internal control standards to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and/or other external accounting policies and standards.
Maintain comprehensive support and documentation for significant transactions and accounting changes.
Identify opportunities for automation and determine innovative ways to streamline processes.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key functional areas including PGIM Finance, Accounting Policy, Risk, and Treasurers among others.
Prepare and/or review Cash activity, Balance Sheet reconciliations of accounts and ledger results.
Respond to, and coordinate, annual and quarterly audit requests and provide well supported documentation.
Specific responsibilities for the position will vary over time based on business needs and other factors.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial reporting or analysis.
Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under challenging time frames.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, highly organized, and exceptional time management.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with various counterparts.
Strong oral and written communication skill.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to work with Word and PowerPoint.
What will set you apart
Advanced degree and/or relevant certification (MBA, CPA, or CFA) is a plus.
Knowledge of financial reporting applications (Oracle, EFDW, Essbase) is a plus.
Knowledge of financial services and investment products is a plus.
Previous related industry experience.
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $85,000-$95,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
