Job Overview:

The Market & Financial Risk Reporting circle within COOR/Global Risk Services is looking

for a financial risk specialist for Violations Management, who is responsible to ensure timely processing of limit violations on financial market deals in the Global Risk Systems. These violations need to be investigated and explained by relevant front office staff and risk management.

You will need to understand and be familiar with the concept of financial markets products and limits in use within ING. Furthermore, you need knowledge and understanding of concepts such as netting, collateralization, risk measurement, and knowledge of front office and risk infrastructure and systems.

The successful candidate has strong time management skills, performs well in a fast-paced

and dynamic environment and has a proven track record in managing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

To serve our stakeholders in the best possible way building and maintaining a knowledge base – the corner stone of our self-service concept – is part of our duties. You work with colleagues from inside and outside the team to provide pro-active, end-to-end support for the users of both Front Office and Risk. As part of our workflow, we aim to reuse, improve, and – if it does not exist – create knowledge and make it available to the entire user community. This results in more operational efficiency, self-service and improves our products and services.

As part of the Violations Management, the main responsibilities and duties are the following but are not limited to:

Analyze deals/exposure and to identify the purpose of each banking products along with the impact to each linesInvestigate and comment on all types of violations and set relevant status in the system within the agreed timelinesInspect local portfolio daily and providing weekly, monthly and quarterly report for violations committed and provide commentContact trader (and manager) for unapproved violations (i.e. technical violation, true violation, violation with pre-approval, policy violation and/or material violation)Contact BPS if the risk management systems did not reflect approved limits correctlyLook for trends and patterns and optimizing of service

You will need to have affinity with data and be familiar with the fundamental concept of financial risk management.

Key Capabilities/Experience:

Education on Bachelor or Master level.Knowledge and working experience on (credit) risk and financial markets concepts, products, and policies is desirable.Knowledgeable and has working experience on (credit) risk and financial markets concepts and products, policies and systems, such as Vantage (Approval Package, ACR, Library, GRID), SaySo, Summit, Murex, ANVIL, Reuters and EBSAt least 3-5 years of experience in a related function;able to quickly get up to speed with (internal) applications usedAnalytical with a high attention to detail;Proven affinity with financial markets and products;Critical mind-set with respect to what is delivered;Strong team player with hands on mentality;able to work with challenging deadlinesAbility to cope with internal and external pressure;able to quickly learn new skills and conceptsCommunicative, accurate and able to work with challenging deadlines
