Financial Services Lead Engineer

OneMain Financial is looking for candidates interested in a Lead Engineer – Software position with our Financial Systems Team.

This position will:

Participate in projects to grow, upgrade, or improve Financial Systems support for OneMain

Work with business accounting and planning staffs to identify business needs

Create specifications, testing and implementing new programming to meet user and OneMain needs

Develop and maintain relationships with system user groups

Oversee controls to ensure integrity and compliance with federal regulations and corporate policies

This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Engineer-Software Financial Systems, and will primarily work with Financial Systems team members, accountants, and planners to ensure that the Finance Organization receives support and administration required to meet the diverse needs of the entire organization.

This is a Hybrid role. Our teams go into the Irving office (125 E. John Carpenter Hwy) at least two days a week.

Responsibilities:

Enabling cross-department support and continuity

Participating in projects to enhance or grow the level of support provided

Working with internal business partners to resolve issues and maintain relationships

Designing, testing, and supporting applications or processes needed to fulfill business audit requirements

Coordinating the testing and implementation of new programming

Required Qualifications:

+ years of Financial Systems experience, supporting accounting and reporting systems

3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including use of general ledger and reporting cubes

Experience with SQL

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or AIS

Energetic, organized, and skilled with today’s technologies; willing to research and learn new technologies

Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail

Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities

Excellent written and oral communication skills
