About the Role:
As the Financial Services Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for delivering financial and business support to our regional operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and coordinating budgets, analyzing forecasts, and ensuring seamless financial processes that drive operational excellence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to blend financial acumen with leadership skills as you oversee clerical staff, manage regional business plans, and ensure compliance with corporate standards. You will collaborate across departments, providing insightful financial guidance.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver financial expertise to the region, including preparing and approving financial system adjustments. Oversee accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliation, and collections, including REA accounts. Lead the regional budgeting process, analyze O&M and ES&G budgets, and present findings to senior management. Manage year-end financial processes such as accruals, GP&E, project closeouts, and accounts payable. Supervise and mentor a team of 3–6 clerical staff, ensuring effective financial operations and support. Act as a regional Super User for Oracle Financials, providing training and process improvements. Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Materials Management) to optimize billing and financial systems. Develop and implement financial policies and provide business guidance to regional management. Support facility management for regional offices as required.What you Bring:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, or CA) is preferred. Minimum five (5) years of related financial experience, with preference for experience in the regulated utility industry. Knowledge of utility business principles, regulatory processes, and collective bargaining agreements would be considered an asset Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Oracle Financials. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, lead teams, and drive financial excellence.
