**The Opportunity**
The Software Engineer will engage in code development regarding quantitative financial models and all peripheral applications and tools supporting those models. The individual will actively participate in all aspects of development, testing, code review, and support of these tools and must be proficient in Python, C# or C++, SQL, and Linux.

**The Work Itself**
* Supporting changes to existing code base in all the repositories
* Planning and conducting source code reviews
* Using the DevOps tools for code promotion process
* Developing and supporting Web APIs.
* Learning and using markup languages like LaTeX
* Learning and applying math disciplines like statistics.
**The Skills You Bring**
* Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science or Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred
* 5+ years of programming experience, (preferably in the financial services industry)
* Proficiency in C# or C++, Python, and SQL is required
* Experience with Linux operating systems
* Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate.
* Effective in delivering solutions in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
* Preference for experience in Optimization, Statistics, Quantitative Finance
* Preference for experience in DevOps tools and IDEs like Visual Studio, etc.
* Excellent attention to detail a must.
* Experience with Hadoop and Spark is a plus.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Self-motivated and open to learning new skills.

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
