Financial Systems Administrator (Hyperion)

Our head office in Kingsville, ON is currently seeking an ERP Business Systems Administrator, to join our Finance team.  The ERP Business Systems Administrator should be detail-oriented and have a highly analytical mind that will allow for strategic procedures and practices to be executed on in partnership with key stakeholders in various business units, primarily the Accounting, Finance, and IT teams. This individual is a key stakeholder who is critical to the overall success to the month end close process and management reporting, along with ad hoc projects to drive results.

 Primary Responsibilities: 

Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) ERP System architecture with exposure to build, support and perform administrative activities for all environments – production and non-production. Support in the design, development, implementation, reporting, security, integration and maintenance of Hyperion. Responsible for monthly close, forecast, and budget consolidations (foreign currency translation, intercompany eliminations, topside adjustments, allocation computations, changes in ownership structure, etc.) . Support end-users with Hyperion applications, SmartView, and other financial reporting tools. Build, maintain, and run financial reports using SmartView. Support business unit reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies. Preparation of reporting and analysis for Corporate Accounting and Finance teams. Manage user accounts, monitor licenses, and maintain security features for compliance. Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for processes, configurations and security protocols to ensure data integrity. Perform regular system health checks, identify issues, and implement resolutions to optimize performance. Provide training and support to users on Hyperion applications and best practices. Assist with various projects where needed.

 

Education/Background Requirements: 

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Hyperion system administration or similar role. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Three to five years of related analytical experience required.

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required 

Communications, customer service, change management, and process improvement skills and experience. Problem-solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research, and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner. Experience with ERP platforms, such as Oracle EPM Cloud, Hyperion, Microsoft Navision. Experience in database management and strong knowledge of VBA and SQL. Certification in Hyperion administration or related technologies preferred. Strong foundation in finance and accounting principles and processes (e.g. financial close, financial consolidations, etc.). Advanced MS Excel capability, including experience in cleansing and manipulating large data sets for reporting and analysis. Experience operating in a fast-paced environment. Possess strong business ethics and willingness to adhere to professional standards. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changing requirements and priorities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

Working Conditions: 

Typical office environment. May periodically travel to visit company facilities in USA and Canada.
