Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst for the Office of Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data and Analytics, the Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for identifying, maintaining, executing, and delivering data, reporting, and analytic solutions for the Oracle ERP and other systems utilized by Rutgers University.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Works closely with Rutgers departments to assess and implement financial reporting needs and solutions. Develops and maintains thorough documentation by summarizing complex requirements into clear, actionable tasks, ensuring efficient communication and execution. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, Oracle Fusion schema (FDI), and other Oracle modules, to support reporting needs and analytics. Develops reports in Oracle and Tableau leveraging an understanding of Oracle Fusion schema (FDI), subject areas, and expertise in creating reports joining multiple subject areas using OTBI and/or Oracle BI Developer.. Develops, implements, and coordinates a wide range of effective reporting and analytic solutions to assist in decision making. Supports Rutgers University Finance and Administrative organization and financial leadership in the evaluation of business requirements that affect financial reporting and analytics. Works with university-wide end-users and committees to developsolutions to various business needs related to financial reporting and analytics. Supports university-wide communication and training initiatives related to financial reporting. Creates technical/functional requirements and specification documents. Develop reports using various reporting tools, for example: OAC, SQL, Financial Reporting Studio, Smart View, Tableau. Oversees end-user support for reporting tools software, communication, upgrades, and other tool support as necessary. Creates/modifies financial system reports as needed. Provides timely and professional guidance and direction to end users with a high level of quality assurance. Resolves customer-service issues that require higher-level support. Communicates with trainers and end users regarding new reports, enhancements, and report issues. Defines training needs related to financial reports and related systems. Performs other duties, as required.
