Financial Systems Analyst

Position Overview: The Financial IT Business Analyst provides technical support, system administration, and recommendations for configuration options and feature enhancements. This position plays a key role in improving the performance of computer systems and ensuring seamless integration across various departments. Duties/Responsibilities: + Analyze efficiencies in automation, system setup, change orders, and requests. + Facilitate data sharing and transparency for finance-related data across HR and IT. + Document API and SFTP integrations, including their impact on business processes. + Implement, maintain, and support information systems to meet organizational needs by analyzing, testing, and developing specifications for developers and programmers. + Create financial reports and support audit requests. + Assist in designing processes for disbursement, procurement, and payroll functions. + Research and recommend plug-ins and additional functionality. + Provided technical support and answered user questions about applications. + Conduct training sessions on proper application use and create training materials for staff in various formats. + Analyze records and logs to identify trends and potential system issues. + Document and maintain operational procedures and standards for client support. + Test, evaluate, and recommend technology platforms, both new and existing. + Participate in programmatic and organizational meetings to provide insight into technical needs and requirements. + Take initiative to deepen understanding of all job-related areas. + Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: + Proficient in Confluence and experience with intranets/wikis. + Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse end-users. + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. + Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. + Capable of translating data into actionable insights. + Willingness to tackle complex problems and complete projects to a high standard. + Ability to work independently on routine tasks while taking direction for more complex assignments. + Functional, technical, and problem-solving skills necessary for job success. + Basic knowledge of financial reports, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Analysis. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience (5+ years). + Strong background in technical writing and training. + Experience with system integrations and creating technical documentation. + Proficient in generating process diagrams, requirements documentation, and reports. + Experience implementing large-scale technology projects. Physical Requirements: + Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time. + Regular use of computers and office productivity tools, such as calculators, copy machines, and printers. + Frequent video communication with internal and external stakeholders.
