Summary You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Aviation Support Department of STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF. Salary Clarification: GS-05: $39,688 - $51,592 GS-06: $44,242 - $57,516 Responsibilities You will apply specific rules, regulations, or procedures to a full range of accounting, budget or financial management technical tasks, duties, and assignments. You will examine, verify, maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data. You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures. You will establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data. You will maintain accounting systems through policy and procedure. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation in compliance with regulations. You will establish, maintain, correct, and close pay accounts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing financial management services (e.g., entering data into automated systems, reviewing invoices, or verifying accuracy of documents) to support accounting, budgetary, or payroll functions. For the GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing financial management support (e.g., sorting financial documents, maintaining files, and/or identifying data discrepancies) to support accounting, budgetary, or payroll functions.
