The Financial Tester is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, security, and performance of financial systems, applications, and software. Their role is crucial in maintaining compliance with regulations, preventing financial errors, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities + Analyze financial system requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure accurate functionality and compliance. + Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on financial software, applications, and systems. + Validate financial calculations, reports, and workflows, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards. + Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution. + Test financial data flows between systems, including APIs, databases, and third-party integrations. + Support end-users and stakeholders during UAT and troubleshoot any issues encountered. + Maintain detailed testing documentation, including test scripts, test results, and defect logs. + Continuously enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy. + Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality financial solutions on time. Qualifications and Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. + Advance English + 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on financial systems or applications. + Solid understanding of financial concepts, such as accounting principles, reporting, and financial workflows. + Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or similar platforms. + Familiarity with APIs and financial integration testing. + Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, or accounting frameworks (e. . , SOX, GAAP, IFRS). + Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Ability to manage multiple testing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. + A financial tester plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of financial applications.
