**Job Title: Finish Carpenter** **Job Description** We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with steel stud walls, finishing trim, acoustical ceilings, and interior finishing. You will be responsible for the installation of specialized wood products, including cabinets, doors, windows, and trim. Proficiency in reading blueprints is essential. **Responsibilities** + Perform finish carpentry work, including the installation of cabinets, doors, windows, and trim. + Construct steel stud walls and install acoustical ceilings. + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction and finishing. + Use a variety of power tools and hand tools to complete carpentry tasks. + Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions using tape measures and other measuring tools. + Install baseboards, crown molding, and other finishing touches in commercial buildings. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of finish carpentry experience. + Proficiency in reading blueprints. + Experience with steel stud walls, finishing trim, and acoustical ceilings. + Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools. + Ability to measure and cut materials accurately. + Experience with the installation of cabinets, doors, windows, and trim. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Commercial construction experience is a plus. + Strong work ethic and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment with great PTO and benefits packages. The job location is approximately one hour from downtown, with current projects at Ironwood and Kalamazoo Country Club. The standard shift is from 6/7 AM to 3/4 PM, depending on the job site. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
