Job Title Finishing SewOn Operator |3rd Position Overview Shaw Industries is looking for a Finishing SewOn Operator to accurately sew rolls of carpet together at the front of the finishing line keeping an ample supply of carpet available for coating. Responsibilities: Remove plastic wrap off roll of carpet. Clip any loose strings. Remove plastic/paper cores from roll cradle. Cut off defective carpet from end of roll. Operate seamer to sew rolls of carpet together. Operate control panel in order to fill J-box. Assemble box to dispose of defective carpet as well as carpet waste from sew-on. Assist in secondary backing changes. Keep J boxes full. Communicate w/console operator if J boxes get low. *Assist in keeping work areas in a clean, orderly manner. *Miscellaneous duties as required.
