Summary:

Responsible for assisting operators to run sheets, meet production goals, maximize machine efficiencies, and operate sheeters while maintaining production equipment numbers and quality.  Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management.  Support the purpose of the team as stated in the “why” page by participating in initiatives and activities, and attending all meetings scheduled during shift.  Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

 

 

 

Safety:

Required – PPE must be worn while on your job.  At a minimum safety glass, steel toe shoes and hearing protection.  Gloves are always required on the production floor and warehouses.  Please see Appendix A and Appendix B (Conover Specific) attached to the WestRock Glove Policy (CompliantPro). Bump cap per company policy

Required – All safety policies and guidelines must be followed.

Training: 

Training requirements for this position are maintained in the Training Module of Compliant Pro.

 

 

 

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc. 

 

 

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs (while in production area), leather gloves. 

 

·        Testing and Measuring Ability (General Math): Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler.) Lift truck (fork-lift) certification. General mechanical aptitude. Pass Farnsworth Munsel-100 Hue Test. Clamp truck certified.

·        Written/Verbal Communications Skills: Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality. 

·        Computer Skills: Basic computer skills (Plant Floor Data Collection System)

Expectations/Guidelines:

 

Meet production goals.Maximize machine efficiencies.Operate sheeters while maintaining production equipment numbers and quality.Determine production priorities.Review job sheet (read and understand job jacket).Request rolls from shipping.Make the sheeter be ready.Insert chucks into roll core.  Raise roll into position and inspect.  Remove any damaged layers.  Place wraps and waste pallets.  Support plant initiatives and directives.Fill in all information (productions, notes, etc.) on the Shop Floor computer.Ensure quality standards.Assist in training of new team members.Assist in maintaining equipment.  Ensure communication/direction of supporting team.
