Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking reliable candidates for a Finishing Technician position with a company in Erie, PA.  This is a 1st shift position with a starting pay rate of $15/hour.  Raise review at 90 days.  

Finishing Technician

Shift: 1st 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $15/hour--raise review at 90 days.

Position Summary
The Finishing Technician has a general understanding of finishing operations, and with supervision prepares tables for the final operations. Must be able to complete finishing operations successfully, including table preparation, sanding, applying fill and hand routing when needed.

Job Duties Read and understand work instructions Apply fill areas of the tables where needed Perform preliminary and primary sanding to areas of the table where needed Prepare the product for painting Stay on schedule to complete the work in a timely fashion Repair the tables as needed to include the application of fill, use of adhesives and use of carbon cloths to repair de-lamination, exposed foam, cracks and edge separation. Uses the proper equipment and sandpaper to finish the sanding of parts--equipment includes belt and tube sanders. Installs hardware and accessories such as aluminum rails, phenolic rails, latches, inserts and clamping components Use of hand router to apply radii and with the templates to rout parts to size Documents completed work Maintains a clean and safe work area
Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma or GED Must be able to stand for entire shift Must attend work every day and arrive on time Ability to learn new techniques quickly Work as part of a team and communicate with a friendly tone
