Finishing Trainer

INTRODUCTION
The Finishing Trainer is responsible for developing the skills and knowledge in the finishing department. Helping several individuals to reach their potential and assessing or measuring the results of training programs. Standardized skills development of co-workers to reduce variation due to operator methods and performance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \u2022 Works in conjunction with the Team Leader and finishing Manager to manage the training for packers, feeders, palletizer, and machine operators. Also give input to team leader during performance evaluations time. \u2022 Document all training and collect documentation that others have trained on, and file in appropriate training folders. \u2022 Have a flexible schedule to be able to work on day or night shift. \u2022 Prioritize training (where should we work first) \u2022 Use element trees for all jobs to break down the job work to a detailed level that you can use to train, assess and audit to ensure minimal performance variation. \u2022 Maintain a flexible and highly skilled workforce and promote life-long learning and career development. \u2022 Provide a consistent measurable training process to document and track co-workers job skills on all jobs, including those qualified to train others on each job. \u2022 Be able to train on all 5 skill levels for feeder, packer, operator training and machine operators on all the equipment. \u2022 Continuously evaluate performance on all team members and identify opportunities, gaps for improvement and implement enhancements. \u2022 Monitor / update progress of team members performance. \u2022 Be able to train team members how to fill out all paperwork. \u2022 Ensure team members understand all quality procedures. \u2022 Ensuring that correct procedure is followed for rejection of raw material.
QUALIFICATIONS \u2022 Five years\u2019 manufacturing experience with operating equipment is required. \u2022 Have good communication skills and be able to train team members with patience. \u2022 Two or more years\u2019 experience in folding carton converting is preferred. \u2022 Must understand and know how to operate quality assurance systems used on operating equipment. \u2022 Intermediate computer skills required (email, data entry, etc.). \u2022 Possession of the following competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self-motivation. HR-002 Rev. 0 02/01/2022 \u2022 Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. \u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
