We are seeking Finland IT Country Manager to join our Metso IT Regional EMEA team.

 

As Finland IT Country Manager, you are responsible for managing user expectations and ensure the continuous services related to local applications, robotics, service desk, on-site support, infrastructure, vendor management, procurement management (licenses, hardware, software, etc.), service budgeting and cost control activities as well as working in cooperation with Global IT Team ensuring global process are followed in your area of responsibility.

 

The location for this role is Espoo, Finland. 

 

 
What you’ll do

 

Lead and manage country IT team, operations, priorities, and performance.  Ensure IT infrastructure and applications operate to the satisfaction of the business and management team in all locations within the scope of responsibility. Ensuring the team adheres to all global and regional processes and, that documentation is updated and stored in compliance with global standards including CMDB Act as a regional escalation point for any new/ongoing issues, managing communication and provisioning of troubleshooting in collaboration with service owners, service delivery specialists, and managed service providers. Manage IT vendors, contracts, and procurement.  Align local agreements, procurement policies and processes with global where possible and potential for synergies. Perform periodic reviews to improve value and cost efficiency. Lead local IT projects such as new site setups, relocations, consolidations and closures. Manage local software and applications together with application owners.  Engage with vendors and consultants for application support, development, upgrades, patching, security, and license compliance. Create and maintain records and documentation for IT service management and disaster recovery.


 

Who you are    

 

 

Qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline. Strong experience as an IT professional. Experience in line managing IT professionals and business stakeholders, coordinating various IT infrastructure services with multiple vendors in demanding business environments. Strong leadership, management and decision-making skills. Ability to comprehend complex information and business requirements. Cost planning, budget management and reporting ability. Fundamentals in ITIL, IT service management, and Agile methodology. Experience with vendor management, contracts and agreement negotiation. Excellent communication (written/spoken English) and public presentation skills.
