This position involves leading complex service projects, complex fire alarm system programming, providing mentorship to junior technicians, and assuming a more autonomous role in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities** + ·Lead and oversee comprehensive inspections, advanced testing, and in-depth troubleshooting of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance. + ·Independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in fire alarm systems, including interconnected systems and networked fire alarm/mass notification systems. + ·Manage and maintain detailed records of service activities, including system analyses, recommendations for improvements, and redline drawings for as-built preparation. + ·Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and support in executing service tasks and ensuring quality service delivery. + ·Participate in project planning, system design, and implementation efforts to enhance fire alarm system functionality and compliance with NFPA 72 and other applicable codes. + ·Conduct site surveys for fire alarm system upgrades, develop bills of materials, labor projections, and schedules, and perform pre-testing and final acceptance testing with Fire Marshal. + ·Collaborate with colleagues, building owners, and managers to deliver seamless service, address system deficiencies, and optimize performance. + ·Stay informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes to uphold compliance and industry standards. + ·Perform complex programming of various types of fire alarm systems and troubleshoot issues to maintain system functionality. + ·Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality service delivery, and customer satisfaction in all service activities. + ·This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities.
