We are seeking an experienced Fire Detection Systems- Technical Documentation Engineer to join our team in Dubai. 

Analyze Target Audience: Determine the type of technical document required and the appropriate medium to host it

Content Creation: Research, outline, write, and edit content while collaborating with various departments to understand project requirements

Information Gathering: Collect information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation

Documentation Management: Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit content, and determine the best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage

Information Architecture: Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards, allowing for easy data migration

Content Development: Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, ensuring a consistent voice across all documentation

Quality Assurance: Assess content for clarity, consistency, and conciseness to ensure it is error-free, easy to follow, and up-to-date

Document Review: Revise, review, or modify documents prepared by others and maintain existing documents

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering 

Proven track record with at least 2 years of experience as an effective technical writer within an engineering field

Knowledge of Life Safety Systems is an advantage

Affiliation with ISTC or an equivalent organization is an advantage

Understanding of UL864+217 and EN-54 standards is an advantage

Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions

Maintain ethical standards in all tasks and decisions

Ability to coordinate and influence others effectively

Capable of multi-tasking and solving problems efficiently

Understanding of SDLC: Firm grasp of the systems development lifecycle

Technical Proficiency: Good understanding of computers and software packages

Work well within a team environment while being able to plan and execute own work initiatives

Strong organization, planning, and project management abilities
