Our client is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer.
Job Duties Assist in the development and review of project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals Develop, review and monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts Develop and review specifications, including design criteria based on applicable local codes, client, and underwriter requirements Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution Provide technical support in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines Other duties as assigned Experience in an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company. Knowledge in design, installation, and selection of active and passive fire protection, fire alarm, and mass notification systems. Continue education and knowledge of industry-wide fire protection related information and technologies as well as new regulations and trends through continuing education, conferences, and/or periodicals, and continue to develop in-depth specialization Supervise and train subordinates assigned to her/his area Preferred Qualifications Relevant degree Relevant experience o apply for this opportunity please contact Tom Penycate (tom.penycate@trsstaffing.com) or apply via the link below.
