DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at our team. The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for completing projects with little or no supervision. Projects include all aspects of fire protection engineering design from ‘cradle to grave’. This includes the responsibilities of proposal preparation, complete system design, site evaluations, and testing and commissioning of systems. Typical projects and types of systems include: fire sprinklers, fire pumps, high expansion foam, clean agent systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems. Typical buildings and facilities include: office buildings, storage and warehouses, aircraft hangars, and maintenance facilities.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of professional experience P.E. License Experience in Fire Protection system design including: fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, clean agent systems, high expansion foam systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems Knowledge of and experience with building and design codes, specifically IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 13 and NFPA 72 AutoCAD and Revit experience are preferred Hydraulic calculation experience preferred Experience in the design of fire protection systems preferredCOMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $94,558-$143,743. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location
