Atlas Technologies, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. We are seeking a full-time Firewall Engineer who will independently troubleshoot enterprise network issues to ensure continuity of service for customers. This is a remote position for candidates residing in the USA. The selected team member must have strong customer service skills and understand complex networks and utilize the latest practices and principles to resolve issues by evaluating circumstances. This will be accomplished by identifying root cause and developing a plan for resolution.

Salary Range: $85,000 -$140,000, depending on experience

Travel - Up to 10%

You Will:
• Provide network security for a large enterprise network
• Troubleshoot network security suite systems
• Work in a team setting making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation
• Resolve issues in a timely manner dealing with a variety of different network devices and protocols following applicable reporting formats
• Perform detailed technical analyses for a system, subsystem, or system elements
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for resolving network issues.
• Develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as needed
• Support occasional after hours and on-call shifts

You Have:
• U.S. Citizenship
• A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance
• 6-9 years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure
• A strong working knowledge with Cisco devices, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Palo Alto Firewalls
• A wide range of experience and be able to apply to various technical situations
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting
• Experience with the following Network protocols and services: Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP) and Access Control Lists
• The ability to work in a dynamic, high paced, team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
• A baseline security certification and relevant operating environment certification:
o Security Certification (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP)
o Cisco (CCNA or CCNP) or Palo Alto certification

We’d be Impressed if You Had:
• Experience with F5
• Hands on experience with the following: Palo Alto Firewall PA-4050, Palo Alto Firewall PA-2050, Palo Alto Firewall PA-5050, Cisco Switch/FWSM 6500-E, Cisco ASA 5500 Series Firewalls
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred but not required)
