Description

General Laborers will be supporting a Firewatch project on the USS Hopper at Pearl Harbor. Work will be Firewatch, labor, bringing items to each worksite on the ship, and daily clean-up of all areas

•\tObserve hot work: Continuously watch for fires during hot work operations.

•\tInspect work areas: Look for flammable liquids or vapors before, during, and after each shift.

•\tMaintain safety standards: Ensure fire-fighting equipment is available and follow safety permit requirements.

•\tAlert authorities: Notify emergency services and firefighters if there is a fire.

•\tStop work: If necessary, stop work and take steps to restore safe conditions.

•\tCommunicate: Instruct employees on where to keep flammable materials and how far away they should be from flames.

•\tAssist in construction of hot work containments and help cleanup at the end of shift.

•\tTake safety precautions: If you believe there may be a hazardous situation, stop operations and check.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00
