Job Title: Firmware Developer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Firmware Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive project experience in firmware/software architecture, design, and implementations with a specific emphasis on wireless applications and radio products. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of implementing firmware code for wireless applications, preferably for ORAN radio products. Responsibilities + Develop firmware architecture for ORAN radio products. + Collaborate with the security team to implement security requirements in the firmware. + Design and develop embedded software using C and C++. + Work with Linux kernel software, Embedded Linux, RTOS, U-Boot/kernel development, and customization. + Perform file system operations and work with Linux Device Tree. + Collaborate with the team responsible for FPGA implementation. + Understand and work with wireless communication protocols such as LTE and 5G. + Contribute to the migration of firmware components into C++. + Work on SoC devices with FPGA and embedded processors. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience as a Firmware Developer. + Proficiency in embedded software development in C and C++. + Experience with Linux kernel software, Embedded Linux, RTOS, and U-Boot/kernel development. + Experience with SoC devices and FPGA. + Knowledge of O-RAN specifications (WG4, WG11). + Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Python/Bash scripting. + Experience with Yocto and RTOS customization. + Experience with telecommunications and telecom protocols. + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Work Environment The team consists of 15 software engineers globally, with 2 team members located in Plano, TX. The work involves close collaboration with the security team to ensure the implementation of security requirements in the firmware. The team works on a variety of products and prototypes, focusing on both lower and application layers of embedded systems.
