Develops software with a direct interface to hardware including microcode, IPspecific firmware, FPGA, and DSPsIs Responsible for designing and implementing interfaces that abstract low level hardware details from higher levels of software and firmware, performing design and code reviews, as well as testing and validating product implementations.You will be responsible for:
Helping us increase firmware quality by designing, coding, debugging, executing, and reporting automated/manual testsPrioritizing your own daily tasksCreating and documenting validation strategy/planAnalyzing and writing test standards and proceduresAnalyzing test results to ensure correct functionality determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective actionConsulting with other team members in resolution of problemsProviding feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages systems and computation softwareQualificationsRequired:
Proficiency in C++ programming language specific to embedded systems.Proficiency in OOP and TDD programming concepts. Familiarity with SOLID principles.Understanding of embedded systems concepts, microcontroller architectures, and hardware-software interaction.Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded IDEs.Practical knowledge of Linux environment. Familiarity with bash.Strong experience in embedded firmware development.Working experience in power management domain.Professional experience with Xtensa IDE and compiler.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.Nice to have:
Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.) and how to implement them in firmware.Knowledge of Python and Ruby languages.Familiarity with git version control system. Working knowledge of GitHub.Knowledge of ACPI standard and multi-socket server platforms. Working experience with debugging techniques and tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What we offer:
