Will develop firmware for microcontrollers for solid-state electricity meters and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) and AGI (Advanced Grid Infrastructure) devices used in utility communication systems. 

\n\n

Key Responsibilities

\n\n\n\tDesign and architect the product, evaluating and validating design alternatives to create optimum products/systems to maximize function/cost ratio in an agile environment.\n\tDocument the design in a detailed product specification to describe the functionality and facilitate product verification testing\n\tImplement the product specifications by writing embedded firmware per coding standards\n\tUnit test the firmware to verify the functionality\n\tUse in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other test equipment\n\tWork with firmware and system verification teams to develop test plans to verify functional compliance of the design to its specification.\n\tWork with manufacturing to configure and test the product\n\tCarry the design from concept to manufacture according to the product development process.\n\tModify existing embedded firmware to fit unique customer needs and configurations.\n\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n\n\tBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\n\t2+ years of experience in real-time embedded C/C++ programming\n\n\n

WE VALUE

\n\n\n\tDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.\n\tassembly language is a plus\n\tExperience developing firmware for AMI network communications including RF mesh and cellular communications\n\tKnowledgeable about IoT communication protocols such as WiSUN, LTE-M, and NBIoT\n\tExperience with device drivers, interrupt handlers and multi-threaded / multi-tasking real-time operating systems (RTOS)\n\tFamiliarity with object-orientated design concepts, revision control and bug tracking systems\n\tExperience using scripting languages such as Python\n\tExperience working in an Agile development environment and using Agile project tools, such as Rally, is preferred\n\tExperience using Test Driven Development in an embedded system is desired\n\n\n
