• Develop comprehensive firmware validation plans to ensure firmware meets performance, reliability, and quality standards.
• Create, implement, and maintain test cases for firmware validation, focusing on both automated and manual testing.
• Design and execute automated test systems for validating firmware functionality, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and the PYTEST framework.
• Debug firmware issues by analyzing test logs and collaborating with firmware development teams.
• Establish testing requirements for firmware validation based on product specifications and intended use cases.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware with high-speed products.
• Perform regression testing to validate firmware updates and bug fixes.
• Generate detailed bug reports and track resolution status using tools like JIRA.
• Provide actionable feedback and recommendations to improve firmware quality and functionality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in firmware validation and testing processes.
• Proficient in both in manual and automated testing frameworks, particularly PYTEST, with strong Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and familiarity with ANSI C programming.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as GIT and Bitbucket.
• Hands-on experience with debugging firmware using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or serial debuggers.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting test data, identifying issues, and proposing effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
• Highly motivated, quick learner, and capable of working independently.
Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:
• Understanding of signal processing techniques related to firmware, such as equalization, amplification, or error correction algorithms.
• Knowledge of high-speed data communication protocols and modulation techniques like PAM4/8.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, or USB for firmware communication.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
