Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a First-Line Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to join the 787 Program for Boeing’s South Carolina Delivery Center Operations in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift!
The successful candidate must be able to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery
Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends
5+ years of experience leading production system and/or process improvements (i.e. Lean, fab production system, improve job practices, techniques and standards)
3+ years of experience leading staff, teams, production or quality systems initiatives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
Possess an A&P or Repairman Certificate or have a minimum 18 months of practical, hands-on maintenance experience to qualify for an FAA Repairman Certificate in the type of maintenance to be performed
3+ years of leadership experience
3+ years of flight line operations experience
3+ years of functional test knowledge
3+ years of experience working with live customers
3+ years of experience with any of the following: avionics, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures
3+ years of proficiency using CMES and Velocity software

Summary pay range: $106,250 - $143,750
