DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Supervisor / FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

\n\nTo supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence\nEnsure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team\nTo lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development\nCarrying out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinaries\n\n

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

\n\nMust have people management experience within transport – ideally managing a large driver fleet of up to 120 drivers\nMust have experience working within a transport office / supply chain environment\nComputer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages\nCPC is desirable but not essential\nExcellent knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours\nStrong communication skills - across various stakeholders, including customers\n\n
