First Line Risk Management

Position Objectives

• Responsible for the national management of FC, RC, Risk in-business for GPB Mexico.
• The function must support and facilitate the establishment of a structure for FC, CR and Risk aligned with the operations teams established by the Global Operating Model.
• Supervise and manage the operational processes of FC, CR and Risk in the country for the GPB Mexico segment
• Supervision of national Compliance activities, as well as providing advice for the establishment of large-scale projects.
• Responsible for compliance for the management and control of FC, CR and Risk activities and/or processes in the country for the GPB Mexico segment.
• Advise as an expert on the compliance of FC, RC and Risk activities that these are updated and properly applied in GPB Mexico.

Position Scope

The impact and responsibilities of the NON FINANCIAL RISK Head cover the local level within IWPB/GPB Mexico, as well as globally, representing GPB Mexico in front of the Group and this position interacts directly with:

Local and global compliance, FCCS, risk, operations, and risk control teams.
The second line of defense in general, ensuring strategic and operational alignment between the different areas involved.

Required Experience and Knowledge

Extensive experience in private banking with a specialized focus on risk management, compliance and regulatory standards.
In-depth knowledge of GPB guidelines and standards.
Experience in implementing risk mitigation and regulatory compliance policies.
Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management at a global and local level, including the coordination of strategic projects.
