Work where you matter. **You Belong at Avera:** Competitive pay, various shifts to fit your lifestyle, and opportunities for career growth. **Exciting opportunity to join Avera Tyler as a First Responder!** **Avera Tyler has a room available at the hospital to utilize when on-call if needed.** **_Position Highlights:_** + **Be a part of a rewarding team while providing outstanding care to a variety of patients.** + **Job Satisfaction:** Each day you will positively impact each patient you serve. **Job Summary** The First Responder is accountable for basic life support service under the direction of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and makes emergency response calls in accordance with the established Minnesota Department of Health standards and following standing orders and department protocols. **Education and/or Experience** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. **Licensure/Certification/Registration** + Must have a Minnesota State Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT) certification and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire. + Valid Driver License upon hire + CPI training recommended. **Work Schedule** + Varied shifts including evening, night, weekend and/or holiday involvement. + Weekday shifts are typically 12 hours: 6pm to 6am or 6am to 6pm + Weekend shifts are typically 6pm Friday night to 6am Monday morning. + Typically work one weekend per month; rotate holidays with other team members. **Pay** The hourly range for this position is listed below.
