Job Description:Record-Keeping and Financial Data Management
Use accounting software to maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data.
Produce financial reports using electronic financial systems, journals, or ledgers.
Monitor, reconcile, and maintain electronic records for audit and staff access.
Offer insights on internal record keeping processes.
Comply with complex federal, state, and University fiscal policies, procedures, and regulations.
Purchasing and Vendor Management
Independently handle purchasing requests by process requisitions and invoices.
Pay vendors and handle foreign and domestic wire transfers.
Reconcile and approve purchasing card transactions.
Liaise with vendors to resolve issues.
Assist the Center Director with purchasing and finance-related issues.
Makes recommendations on future purchases.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and University purchasing policies.
Process travel and staff expenses through the UF travel and PCard (UFGO) system.
Handle unit deposits and interpret UF travel policies.
Arrange travel for international visitors and process related expenses.
Analyze and generate monthly state vehicle reports.
Account Transactions and Reconciliation
Review, assess, and reconcile account transaction activity for multiple vendors.
Research, analyze, and resolve complex account transactions or fiscal matters.
Interpret and apply complex policies and procedures.
Provide guidance regarding University, College, or Center policies, procedures, and processes.
Administrative and Clerical Support
Provide high level of customer service to the public and back up the front desk in the absence of the receptionist.
Liaise with other departments, students, and faculty.
Support office operations with clerical and secretarial functions.
Maintain office supply inventory and interact with vendors.
Event Coordination and Support
Coordinate bunkhouse reservations, including travel, fees, waivers, and key distribution for visitors and Center events.
Help organize and carry out unit events and ceremonies.

Expected Salary:$21.05/hour
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:College diploma and 5+ years experience in finance/accounting/purchasing highly desirable due to the complexities of the position
