Fisher Center for the Performing Arts - Production Assistant (Office and Event Support)

We are building a team of creative, service and entrepreneurially minded student leaders who demonstrate high levels of organization, hospitality and collaboration.


We are looking for high caliber individuals to support the Production Manager and Production Team, as well as our partners, in both office tasks and event management.


These individuals will be highly efficient self-starters with exceptional organization and customer service skills. They will be knowledgeable (or able to educate themselves) in the use of resources like Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, EMS, etc.


Employees have the opportunity to work through campus holidays, including Summer Break, although not required. Employees who remain on the team for more than one year will have the opportunity for advancement, including increased wages and responsibility.

This team comprises of 4-6 students annually, filling 3 critical office roles: general office duties and meeting support to both prepare for incoming shows and maintain general operations (most student employees), a finance/accounting assistant to assist with production vendor billing and estimates process (1 student employee), and an exceptional student(s) who display excellence in work to further assist the Executive Director with any special projects.  All roles will assist with show support on event days, assisting where needed.

Specific tasks could include:Assist in coordinating production schedules and logistics.Opening or closing building, and liaising with client on show daysCommunicating effectively with crew, cast, and production team members.Managing and organizing production documents and equipment.Aiding in event/vendor invoicing and financial documentation/tracking.Quickly resolving unexpected issues that arise during shows/events.Adaptability to changing plans and ability to troubleshoot show needs.Maintaining punctuality and reliability in fulfilling duties.Taking initiative and showing a willingness to go above and beyond basic responsibilities.

Expect a combination of office work and event work (light lifting/pushing).
