Job Summary: Customer service job monitoring use of the exercise floor and equipment. Assists in member services and instructor-led programming.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or health related field preferred.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.

Work Experience: 6 months of related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervises members and guests using exercise facilities: performs blood pressure and heart rate checks for members. Identifies members with signs/symptoms and provides appropriate response. Orients and educates members: provide new member education and orientation. Instruct proper exercise technique. Maintain safe exercise environment: identifies potential hazards and removes risk or places the area off limits. Facilitates emergency response protocol. Performs routine spa/pool maintenance. Provides high level of customer service: welcomes all arriving members and guests. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area and facility. Completes opening/closing checklists. Performs all aspects of enrollment and marketing: performs new member enrollment. Promotes membership by conducting tours and responding to information requests.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.

Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
