TELUS Health has a team of dynamic Fitness & Wellness Consultants across the country. These individuals help our clients live their best lives through the use of physical activity, wellness workshops and health fairs. We are looking for a part time Fitness & Wellness Consultant in the Debert, Nova Scotia area. Ideally this person will have experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field.

 

This position is on-site 16 hours per month, (8 hours bi-weekly).

 

What you’ll do:

 

Organize special events, workshops, and lunch and learn presentations, annual health fair  Lead on-site stretch breaks Conduct wellness consultations upon request on areas related to fitness, mobility, injury prevention and back care including recommendations and follow up  Promote and share TELUS Health monthly wellness resources Promote and share wellness partner resources Report monthly and/or quarterly participation stats

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion Current certifications in personal training and CPR/First Aid/AED  Positive energy, confidence, ability to engage with diverse groups of people High degree of self motivation and initiative Ability to work independently Strong organization and time management skills Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications
