Purpose of Role: Operations technician will be responsible for all aspects of grinding and fitting parts so that they can seamlessly installed in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
. Grinding Process: Operate hand held grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings.

. Fit Verification: Verify fit accuracy by correctly using gaging with different thickness feeler gages.

. Hoist Utilization: Utilize hoist to manipulate castings to the proper position for fitting/gaging.

. Shift Pitch Reporting: Correctly fill out shift pitch board to include current pitch and reasons if pitch is missed.

. Workspace Maintenance: Keep work station in good order for the next shift/operator.

. Weight Management: The Fitter utilizes a hoist to manipulate different style castings varying in weight from less than 100 lbs. to more than 1000 lbs.

. Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
 

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
· Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

. High School Diploma required
