Fixed Income Liaison Trader

We are seeking a Fixed Income Liaison Trader who will execute fixed income transactions on behalf of both retail and registered investment advisor clients.  In this role you will be responsible for applying your knowledge and experience to make informed trading decisions while adhering to industry regulations and firm policies and procedures.  The Liaison Trading Team plays a key role in monitoring fixed income electronic trading, maintaining strong relationships with Alternative Trading Platforms and other market participants, and helping support our overall fixed income platform offering.  You will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment.  

What you’ll do:

Manage client fixed income transactions in secondary corporate and municipal bonds as well as secondary CDs.Provide excellent service and support to our fixed income sales organization that supports Charles Schwab clients.Resolve trade problems while maintaining strong relationships with trading counterparties.Monitor trading performance metrics and conduct activities in support of overall execution quality.Perform a variety of support functions such as generating trading reports, onboarding new trading counterparties, conducting monthly reviews, monitoring counterparty credit thresholds, and participating in technology improvement activities.Adhere to industry regulations and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.Utilize data analytics tools to provide analysis for fixed income trading.Partner closely with teams in fixed income sales, risk, operations, technology, compliance and other external trading platforms and broker/dealers. Drive continued improvements to our business processes and technology.What you have

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required.FINRA Series 57 licenses required. (Can be obtained in 180 calendar days as a Condition of Employment) FINRA Series 52 required if the Series 7 was obtained after 11.7.2011. (Can be obtained in 180 calendar days as a Condition of Employment)  Proficient technical and analytical skills, including Microsoft applications.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and manage daily work load.Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to develop and grow relationships with internal and external business partners.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and balance multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.A proven track record of delivering on data driven projects or initiatives.Strong communication skills, a high degree of responsibility, and the ability to work well under pressure are paramount.

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years of trading or financial markets experience, fixed income experienceExperience working in Bloomberg.
