Fixed Income Results Analyst Senior

Role summary:

The Fixed Income Results Analyst senior will work as part of a high functioning team, who play a key role in supporting the Europe and Asia business area. They will be an integral member of the team, providing leadership, mentorship, and quality assurance for associates and analysts on the team. Additionally, they will work independently on complex assignments, calculating and providing investment results and analytics to internal departments, investment professionals, and external clients and vendors. Responsibilities may also include: Evaluate, construct, and maintain custom benchmarks and indexes, Provide subject matter expertise in performance measurement, attribution, and the Capital System.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:  

Calculate, validate and analyse investment performance for fund, account, manager, composite, index and benchmark data

Works with a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups across multiple teams (e.g., investment group, sales, etc.) to evaluate, construct, and maintain portfolio structures, index and custom benchmark maintenance, calculate and deliver portfolio investment results, and provide advanced analytics and FI attribution analyses.  

Prepare and validate FI attribution analysis

Researches, analyses, and resolves discrepancies impacting results with internal operational teams 

Performs results, statistical, and portfolio analysis 

Designs and develops forecasting tools and statistical models that directly support the investment and distribution decision-making processes 

Access, assemble, manipulate and interpret large datasets

Builds relationships and establishes frequent correspondence with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Investment Groups, IT, Investment Operations), balancing stakeholder expectations  

Participates in the training and development of other associates 

Develops policy guidelines and best practices at the functional level, coordinating and implementing newly developed policies, processes, and procedures  

Participates in regular portfolio reviews with the Investment Group – requires the ability to present results and attribution to our Investment Group professionals, with special focus on Attribution 

Applies analytical and problem-solving skills to “deep dive” into questions 

Keeps abreast of applicable compliance rules and regulations, ensures that controls are in place and data is reported accurately and in accordance with various compliance standards 

Keeps abreast of current and possible future internal and external trends, industry best practices, technology, and potential impact on established procedures 

Answers questions and acts as a point of contact internally and externally for complex issues 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

Experience within Fixed Income, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of key performance measurement, risk and attribution concepts and ability to apply it to work assignments 

CFA certification. CIPM certifications and/or MBA a plus 

Experience with BI-SAM B-One/ FactSet/ Bloomberg/Aladdin

Self-driven (e.g., independently manage workload and achieve target outcomes; proactively overcomes obstacles to achieve target outcomes and customer satisfaction) 

Strong business acumen to understand and anticipate business needs/requirements/questions, apply knowledge of investment markets (and explain ‘the why’ behind the results they present 

Demonstrates expert knowledge of industry applications  

Develops strong business relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders through consistent, accurate, and reliable  

Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a focus on being able to confidently stand behind analysis when presenting to the Investment Group stakeholders 

Strong collaboration skills, working within and across teams and stakeholder groups to communicate investment results and resolve issues 

Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity  

Ability to work in ambiguous situations, create clarity, and drive towards effective outcomes 

Ability to identify process improvement and lead Continuous Improvement efforts with a focus on scaling operations 

Demonstrates expert knowledge with data visualization tools; SQL, Alteryx, TOAD, Excel, Python plus 

Strong project management skills; PMP or ScrumMaster a plus in some results areas

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
